Hello to all music lovers out there – especially those who are more into collecting digital copies of rare vinyl.
Today, I want to speak directly to you, because I started this whole journey of collective vinyl purchasing and digitization simply because I’ve always loved rare records – but lacked the money, resources, knowledge, and tech to do it all on my own. Maybe it’s precisely because I really wanted it, that projects like VK (Vinyl Kollektiv), KvX (KollektivX), and now RVBD (Revibed) eventually came to life and found their audience.
But to be honest – what we have today isn’t exactly what I envisioned when I first started. There are many reasons for that, both objective and subjective. If you’d like me to go into more detail one day, I’ll probably write about it as Revibed’s editor. Or you can always email me at editor@revibed.com and we’ll talk about whatever’s on your mind.
So, what’s the issue?
Revibed has evolved into a platform that mainly serves DJs and leans heavily into electronic and club music. That’s cool, and I’m proud of what we’ve built — but the imbalance is real. Projects outside of that scene hardly get support, and I REALLY WANT TO CHANGE THAT.
Right now, Revibed doesn’t have the tools to build a community around non-club music — so I’m going back to something simple but effective: a Telegram group dedicated exclusively to collectible, non-club records that we can support together on Revibed.
👉 Join us here: https://t.me/revibed_collectibles
It’ll be straightforward:
Anyone can propose a pre-order idea and immediately see whether it gets support. I’ll check whether the release is eligible under copyright rules and can be opened as a project on Revibed.
If it passes and at least 5 people from the group express interest — boom, the project goes live on Revibed and we’ll share the link right there in the chat.
Simple. The goal is to save everyone time and money — no more locking up funds in pre-orders that go nowhere.
If you have ideas or suggestions, come join and speak up. Let’s shape something that works for all of us.
In the meantime, I’m getting ready to play a few beach sets — for folks like me who aren’t into heavy club vibes. More the cocktail-in-hand, feet-in-the-sand type. Danceable, but in a bar kind of way.
And even though I have a lot of material for these kinds of sessions, I wanted to lead by example — so I just launched a non-electronic project on Revibed featuring a warm and sunny reggae track. The kind of tune that feels just right as summer slowly waves at us from the window of a departing train.
Join in if you feel it:
