No Vinyl? No Problem. Here’s How You Can Still Reissue It!

Hello, music enthusiasts and diggers—those of you with an insatiable thirst for the long-lost, the nearly-forgotten, and the criminally overlooked gems of the past. The ones who find joy in spelunking through the internet’s deepest rabbit holes, unearthing records that deserve another shot at life on Revibed. 🐳

Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed a wave of new founders and contributors—many of whom, until now, had no idea that crowdfunding a rare vinyl preorder and turning it into a digital reissue was even a thing. So, consider this your friendly crash course.

Let’s get straight to the point:

The simple answer? Because the cost of running preorders keeps rising. Just as we all feel the pinch of climbing rents, utility bills, and grocery prices, we too are facing increasing expenses—more tax going to the treasury, higher fees to rights holders, Discogs, customs, and crucially, to postal services.

  1. Revibed isn’t just a marketplace—it’s a tool, a movement, a way to bring rare vinyl back to life in digital form.
  2. You don’t need to own the physical record. All you need is the desire to see it reissued and the knowledge that it exists.
  3. When submitting a project, we link to a Discogs item (an actual listing for sale), not just the release page. This helps admins quickly check the price, condition, and shipping feasibility.
  4. Yes, there are a few restrictions. If your preorder was rejected or closed, there’s probably a reason—find out here:

Beyond that, I’ll leave you with an old saying from the pearl-diving women of Nagasaki:

      深く潜るほど、真珠はさらに貴重になる。

The deeper you dive, the rarer the pearl.

And while you’re at it, why not back your fellow diggers on these killer preorders:

           🎶 Francie Davies – Don't Run Away

          🎶 Iridium – Racquet EP

🎶 Open Mint Cookie – Sweet Things To "G"

With love and a musical salute,
