With this hand-picked collection, we embark on a journey of bringing you regular issues dedicated to the most sought-after, rare, and incredible music ever released on vinyl or cassette and, importantly, music that has not been reissued in digital format. 

We at KX HQ have always believed that music is not just a form of entertainment but a powerful cultural force that shapes our perspectives, values, and worldviews.

Music culture encompasses a rich tapestry of creative professions – producers, composers, songwriters, cover designers, photographers, sound engineers, promoters, radio hosts, DJs, dancers, and so many others who contribute to the magic of music. 

Unfortunately, with the transition to the digital realm, much of the pre-digital era's beautiful works have become lost in a sea of digital noise. They have become rare treasures on collectors' shelves, inaccessible to the very people for whom the music was created – the music lovers.

In our quest to preserve and celebrate the music of yesteryears, we start to present a catalogue that features tens of thousands of rare releases that have been revived by music enthusiasts from nearly 100 countries. KollektivX pioneers the preservation of musical and cultural legacies, bridging the gap between the analog and digital worlds. 

Our common goal is to continue rediscovering and revitalising music that teeters on the brink of extinction, forever lost unless we take action. Moreover, we work hard to connect with the creators of these musical treasures, for by doing so, we make our world a little fairer and more beautiful.

To decide where to begin our musical voyage, we left it up to fate. We placed multiple options in a DJ bag and luck favoured one of the most life-affirming and timeless phenomena: Italo Disco.

Italo Disco is not merely a genre or style; it is a way of life. It embodies elegance in fashion, an enviable tan, financial minimalism juxtaposed with maximalism in entertainment. 

Italo Disco is a vision of romantic futurism on screensavers, the effervescence of Prosecco bubbles, and the vibrant parties of the Mediterranean. It permeates every space with love, and once you fall in love with it, you can never part ways.

Through the power of music, we will delve into the origins and late interpretations of Italo Disco. We will explore the instruments that shaped the modern romantic dance scene. 

We will showcase how producers and artists from different countries embraced and reimagined this life-affirming music, originating from the sunny Apennine Peninsula and resonating from Bolzano to Palermo 🛵
