A new way for you to profit from your music knowledge
New features
Hey Reviber,

How’s November been treating you so far? Are you enjoying the autumn breeze and those late-night in-house listening sessions? With the end-of-year holidays just around the corner, we have an important announcement for you today, centered around our beloved Pre-order system.

Do you remember back in September when I hinted at a new project — one that would literally let you profit from your musical knowledge? Well, it’s time to lift the curtain.

As you already know, our Pre-order feature allows anyone to kickstart the digitisation of a wanted record. It’s a community-powered way to bring rare music back to life — and everyone involved shares in the reward. Plus, contributors get one month of exclusive early access to the digital files before the release officially joins the Revibed catalogue.

Now, we’re taking things one step further. We want to make sure you, our community, get the most out of this unique system.

How it works: A new Pre-order model

We've made some thoughtful tweaks, based on your feedback, to how Pre-orders work. Let’s dive into the new model.

Starting a Project

It all begins, as always, with an idea, or rather, a record. Maybe it’s a forgotten gem you’ve been hunting down for years, or a regional classic that never made it to streaming platforms. You decide it deserves a second life, so you become the Founder.

To start the project, you pay a flat €7 fee to launch the pre-order. That small investment gets the ball rolling — a signal to the community that this record is worth bringing back. Once the project is successfully funded and the record is digitised, your €7 is fully refunded.

Joining a project

Then comes the Contributor stage. Other music heads just light you can join your project. Together, you pool resources to cover the total cost of the record. The amount each person contributes depends on the record’s price, shipping, and any customs fees. For some records, it might take ten contributors; for others, fifteen or twenty. The cheaper the record, the lower the participation cost.

Getting rewarded

Once the record makes its way into the Revibed catalogue, the real magic happens. Every contributor becomes a stakeholder in its future. 10% of all sales from that digital release are shared among the contributors. Your share is proportional to your involvement: if you funded five spots, you’ll receive 5% of every sale of that release, forever.

Let’s say a record costs €200. The founder always pays €7 to launch the project, and 19 contributors split the remaining €193, each pitching in €10.16. Once the record is digitised and added to the Revibed catalogue, the contributors collectively earn 10% of all future sales.

In a nutshell, each project has its own conditions based on that final price. If it’s a higher-value record, it may need more backers or slightly larger individual contributions. But the principle remains simple: the community shares the cost, and later, the reward.

We hope this new Pre-order model will be equitable in terms of costs, but also more rewarding, and more community-driven than ever before. It’s your chance not only to revive the music you love but also to own a piece of its comeback.
